hands of person making dough

Simply delicious

These days we are bombarded with recipes from all sorts of places; TV, magazines, websites and billboards, to mention a just a few. Seeing these recipes all around us can make us feel guilty that we don’t have the time to try some of them as a treat for our families. But the truth is most recipes seem really long and hard to make. That’s why I love sharing simple recipes that don’t need lots of ingredients.

It is certainly possible to make tasty meals using only four ingredients, and these tend to be really easy to make too. But did you know that for the ultimate ease there are a whole heap of things that you can make with only 2 ingredients!

Here are some of the more obvious ones

Pizza dough made with equal amounts of self raising flour and Greek yogurt? Mix together, knead, done!

Crunchy cheese sticks, made with puff pastry and grated cheese? Roll together and bake in a hot oven, they make simply perfect party snacks.

If you have a sweet tooth, try melting some chocolate and mixing with 2 minute noodles. Set in the fridge for your very own chocolate spiders.

But my all-time favourite 2 ingredient recipe is for soda bread! This is probably because the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from the kitchen is one of the most delicious smells ever. So to make your own, all you need is some soda water and self raising flour. Mix them together to make a dough, then shape into rolls or a loaf and bake until golden brown. Serve warm to enjoy some freshly baked yumminess.
